When installing a printhead...
Carefully follow the Printhead Replacement instructions in the Operator/Maintenance Manual provided by the printer manufacturer. Prior to installation, it may be helpful to familiarize yourself with the booklet entitled “Caring for Your Thermal Printhead”, a copy of which is enclosed with most TTR Euroworks brand printheads.
If a booklet is not enclosed, one is available upon request from TTR Euroworks or your Authorized TTR Euroworks Reseller. This booklet is provided by TTR Euroworks expressly to guide Purchasers in the proper installation, use and maintenance of TTR Euroworks printheads, and to avoid preventable printhead damage or failure, which is not covered under this warranty.

TTR Euroworks warrants to purchaser that under normal use and maintenance, the TTR Euroworks printhead purchased hereunder shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 6 months from the date of shipment by TTR Euroworks. TTR Euroworks will repair or replace, at its option, any printhead that fails due to defect within this active warranty period.
Failure of a thermal printhead is defined as the inability, after all reasonable printer settings adjustments, and after all reasonable attempts through TTR Euroworks technical support, to obtain legible print quality from a properly specified printer while using approved (and non-defective) thermal and/or thermal transfer media.
Printhead wear is part of normal operation. This warranty does not cover failure due to normal abrasive wear of the surface coating over the printing elements and conductors.
This warranty does not cover printheads which have been misused, mishandled, altered, neglected or damaged due to improper installation, lack of cleaning and proper maintenance, operating conditions which exceed specified limits or unauthorized repairs. Accidental damage of printheads also is not covered under this warranty.
These 6 months warranty is valid only if TTR Euroworks-approved thermal/thermal transfer media is used, as defined in the then-current list of approved media (copy available from TTR Euroworks upon request). Failure to use TTR Euroworks-approved media is justification for invalidation of this thermal printhead warranty, and to the extent it is determined that the use of unapproved supplies have caused any defect in the printhead, this limited warranty shall become null and void. TTR Euroworks welcomes the submission of direct thermal and thermal transfer media, directly from the manufacturer, for consideration of inclusion on TTR Euroworks list of approved media.
In the event that a failure to follow the preventive maintenance outlined in the printer manufacturer’s Operator/Maintenance Manual or the Caring for Your Genuine TTR Euroworks Printhead booklet enclosed with each new TTR Euroworks printhead, has resulted in the defect for which a warranty claim is made, this limited warranty shall become null and void.
If a claimed defect should occur during the warranty period, a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number must be issued before the product can be returned for evaluation. To open an RMA please contact your TTR Euroworks representative, who will obtain a valid RMA number for you. The unit must be returned freight and insurance prepaid, in the original box, to the TTR Euroworks authorized service center address provided to you by your TTR Euroworks representative. Please include the RMA number on the outside of the carton and on the packing list. Also include purchaser’s key contact information.
As a condition of this limited warranty, the user must include with the printhead a written description of the claimed defect, as well as a sample of the printout exhibiting the claimed defect, with printer settings (such as print speed and heat setting) notated. It is highly recommended that you include samples of all ribbons and labels (printed showing the problem and unprinted for TTR Euroworks evaluation) that were being used with the returned printhead at the time of failure.
In the event of a defect covered by this limited warranty, TTR Euroworks will return the repaired or replaced product to the Purchaser at TTR Euroworks cost. In addition, ground transportation charges for the return of the product (within the EMEA area) shall be reimbursed by TTR Euroworks.
Repaired or replaced product shall continue to be covered under this limited warranty until the end of the original warranty period, or for sixty (60) days after the repair or replacement, whichever is later.
TTR Euroworks sole obligation under this warranty shall be to repair, or furnish replacements for, products found to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period.
TTR Euroworks shall not, under any circumstances whatsoever, be liable to the Purchaser or any other party for lost profits, diminution of good will or any other special or consequential damages whatsoever with respect to any claim hereunder. TTR Euroworks total liability, if any, to the Purchaser or to the Customer of the Purchaser shall in no event exceed the TTR Euroworks invoice price of the product claimed defective. Nor shall TTR Euroworks be liable for delays in replacement or repair of returned products. Purchaser shall be solely responsible for the selection, use, efficiency and suitability of TTR Euroworks thermal printheads.
No waiver, alteration, addition, or modification of the foregoing warranties shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by an executive officer of TTR Euroworks.
The above warranties are in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, oral or written, statutory or otherwise, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No salesperson, representative or agent of TTR Euroworks is authorized to make any guarantee, warranty, or representation in addition to the foregoing warranty.
